GERMAN PHARMA WHOLESALE
GPW Group providing global access to pharmaceuticals

THE NEED
GPW Group is your trusted partner for sourcing and distributing unlicensed, hard-to-access, and named patient medicines. Based in Germany - the largest pharmaceutical market in Europe, the company has been supporting customers in the import and export of pharmaceutical products for over 60 years.
Our goal was to design a logo for the GPW Group company, as well as for the GPW Germany and GPW International branches, in such a way that each would be its mark of distinction. GPW Group was formed from the merger of two companies into one, so the brand needed a completely new and consistent identity. After developing the final version of the logo, we began work on corporate identity, website design, implementation, and preparation of printed materials identifying the brand.

DISCOVERY
We began our work with a brand sprint with the client, through which we learned about the brand's personality, what it does, its purpose, and its values and beliefs. Once all the details were settled, we prepared a mood board with concept inspirations, through which we learned the client's visual expectations. At the same time, we worked on the concept of the logo, the hero section of the homepage, and the style of the visual direction which facilitated the selection of the final concept. Learn the details of how GPW Group's brand identity was created.

OTHER CONCEPTS
Many creative ideas were generated during the development of the homepage concept. Here are some of them:

LOGO CONCEPTS
We prepared a total of a dozen versions of the logo based on information from the brand sprint. Initially, this was to be a project for the brand under the name Juers, but the companies decided to join forces and create a completely new brand name GPW (German Pharma Wholesale).

FINAL VERSION LOGO
The final choice fell on a signet ring with a globe motif. However, to make the design not too obvious, we inscribed it with arrows referring to import and export, and you can also see a pill in the vertical part. For this signet, we decided to use a wide and modern font, which will make the whole thing seem like a complete sign.

LOGO GENESIS
The GPW sigil consists of a main part - a globe, a pill, and arrows referring to imports and exports.

GPW DIVISIONS
A critical determinant of designing the GPW's main logo was to design the sigil so that signs for subsequent branches could be freely created. The GPW is planning to grow in this direction, so we had this in mind from the beginning. In the logos for the branches, we decided to modify the middle part slightly by removing the import/export arrows. This made more space to add a simple symbol that distinguishes between branches. In addition, we decided to distinguish the symbols with colors, each branch has its unique color. This way the brand doesn't have to worry in case of increasing branches in the future.

ICONS
For the website interface, we prepared a set of linear style icons. They are characterized by a thin line and an oval background in the color of the icon with a much lighter shade.

PRINT MATERIALS
GPW also asked us to prepare additional brand identity materials, such as letterheads, general business cards, business cards for the germany division, business cards for the international division, but also print materials: van veneer design, polo shirt designs, guest and employee id card designs, lanyard design.

BRANDING VISUALIZATIONS
